Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Departs Sunday's game with injury

Zibanejad left Sunday's game against the Panthers after taking a nasty fall into the boards, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Zibanejad lost his balance behind the net in overtime and went crashing into the boards. The majority of the blow appeared to be absorbed by his left leg, which bent and twisted in the type of grisly fashion that often leads to a long-term injury. The Rangers haven't yet released any particulars on Zibanejad so it's too early to say how severe his injury might be, but owners should pay close attention in the coming days to his status. He actually scored a goal in this one and has been having a great start in his first season on broadway, posting six points in the last six games and 15 in 19 contests overall.
