Penguins' Chris Kunitz: Game-time decision Friday

Kunitz (lower body) will be a game-time decision Friday against the Islanders, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Kunitz, who has been playing alongside Evgeni Malkin, has steadily compiled points, including two goals and an assist in his last five games. The biggest knock on the winger so far this season is his lack of production on the power play. Despite averaging 1:46 of ice time per night with the man advantage, the veteran has yet to record any points on the PP. If he is cleared to play Friday, you can likely expect Kunitz to slot back onto the Pens' second line.
