Ducks' Jonathan Bernier: Outplays Cory Schneider to beat Devils

Bernier held the Devils to two goals on 29 shots in Thursday's 3-2 win.

Analysis:

Bernier outplayed his counterpart, Cory Schneider, who surrendered three goals on 23 shots. He's reverted back to the form he showed as a backup with the Kings, posting a 2.06 GAA and .933 save percentage as John Gibson's backup so far. However, the 28-year-old was unsuccessful as the starter in Toronto and the Ducks are committed to Gibson, so don't expect him to earn the No. 1 role in Anaheim regardless of how well he plays in limited action.
