Canucks' Jacob Markstrom: De facto starter Thursday

Markstrom is in line to start Thursday against the Coyotes, as No. 1 goalie Ryan Miller will not dress due to the flu.

Analysis:

Markstrom was shelled for seven goals on 25 shots from the Rangers on Tuesday, but Miller's illness gives him a chance at redemption. We're thinking he'll welcome the opportunity to play against the Coyotes -- at 2.53 goals per game, they're a far cry from New York's league-best offense.
