Penguins' Phil Kessel: Gets off scoring schneid Wednesday
Kessel potted Pittsburgh's lone goal in Wednesday's 7-1 loss to Washington.
Analysis:
The third-period goal came with the Pens trailing 6-0, but the score was much needed for the forward's confidence. Since scoring three times in the season's first eight games, Kessel had been shut down in the next seven. The team is looking for more shots from Kessel; he's averaged 3.34 per game throughout his career, but has taken only 36 shots in 16 games (2.25 per game) in 2016-17.
