Penguins' Matt Murray: Exits Wednesday's contest after high-stick to face

Murray left Wednesday's game against Washington after being high-sticked in the face.

Analysis:

Murray's luck took a turn for the worse at the end of the first period, when his mask fell off and he was subsequently struck in the face by teammate Evgeni Malkin's stick. He was replaced in net by Marc-Andre Fleury. Prior to his exit, Murray allowed two goals on 14 shots during 19:36 of ice time. The Penguins will likely release more information concerning the severity of the injury if he doesn't return to the contest.
