Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Tending twine Tuesday

Hellebuyck will defend the cage against the Blackhawks on Tuesday, Ken Wiebe of the WInnipeg Sun reports.

Analysis:

Hellebuyck has allowed just two markers in each of his last three appearances and is 4-1-0 in his last five starts. After splitting time to kick off the 2016-17 campaign, the 23-year-old appears to have locked up the No. 1 netminder role. Hellebuyck faces a difficult task going up against the Blackhawks, who are averaging 3.31 goals per game, but the Jets do boast the NHL's leading scorer, Mark Scheifele.
