Hurricanes' Justin Faulk: Still day-to-day

Faulk (upper body) has not been ruled out for Tuesday's game and remains day-to-day, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Analysis:

Coach Bill Peters seems more optimistic that Faulk could be ready Friday against Montreal, but refused to rule the blueliner out against the Sharks on Tuesday. Carolina will need to activate Faulk off injured reserve before he can suit up, so look for an update from the team once he has been cleared to return.
