Kings' Anze Kopitar: Sustains apparent upper-body ailment

Kopitar was forced out of Friday's loss to the Senators due to an apparent upper-body injury, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.

Analysis:

Kopitar is one of the league's best two-way players, having picked up the 2016 Selke Trophy, so this is the last thing the Kings need. Plus, the team is dealing with an extended absence to star goalie Jonathan Quick (groin), and a pair of forwards -- Andy Andreoff (upper body) and Marian Gaborik (foot) -- are parked on IR. The Kings have a road game against the Jets scheduled for Sunday, so look for more light to be shed on his status ahead of that match.
