Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Beats Coyotes on Thursday

Hellebuyck stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win over the Coyotes on Thursday.

Analysis:

The youngster has now emerged victorious in three of his last four starts, with a four-goals-on-16-shots stinker wedged in between. Hellebuyck has had a rocky start to 2016-17, as evidenced by his 2.80 GAA and .906 save percentage that lag behind his 2.34 and .918 marks from his rookie season, but he's been mostly solid over the last week and appears to be trending upward. The Jets play again Friday on the road at Colorado, and although it hasn't been confirmed who head coach Paul Maurice is going to stick between the pipes, there's a decent chance he'll opt for the hot hand in Hellebuyck despite the back-to-back scenario.
