Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Stops 31 in win Thursday

Vasilevskiy was fantastic Thursday against the Islanders, stopping 31 of 32 shots in a 4-1 win.

Analysis:

Vasilevskiy continues to put pressure on Ben Bishop for the starting gig. Bishop has been better of late, but still sports an ugly 2.91 GAA and .907 save percentage in nine starts. Vasilevskiy's 1.99 GAA and .932 save percentage through five appearances are far superior, and the three-year deal he signed this offseason suggests it's only a matter of time until the young Russian takes over the job.
