Hurricanes' Justin Faulk: Undergoes MRI

Faulk (undisclosed) had an MRI done Monday, which puts his status for Tuesday's matchup with the Devils in question.

Analysis:

Coach Bill Peters was rather vague when describing Faulk's injury, calling it "upper or middle body" which is a lengthy list of possibilities. Either way, an extended absence for the defenseman could lead to some headaches for fantasy owners. Over the course of the first 11 games of the season, the 24-year-old has tallied six points, three of which have come on the power play, and he should continue to see opportunities with the man advantage once he is cleared to return.
