Predators' Pekka Rinne: Suffers shootout loss Saturday

Rinne stopped 23 of 25 shots in Saturday's shootout loss to the Hurricanes.

Analysis:

It was a decent night for Rinne, but unfortunately no Nashville player could fine twine past regulation, leading to the veteran's seventh loss of the season. Rinne is the clear-cut starter in Music City ahead of backup Marek Mazanec, but Nashville's early-season struggles should be a tad concerning for Rinne's fantasy owners, especially when you consider the hype surrounding the team entering the season following the offseason acquisition of P.K. Subban. Rinne still possesses a .916 save percentage, however, and has allowed two or fewer goals in three straight games, so it's not like he's to blame. The Predators are too good to stay struggling for long, so expect Rinne to pile up some more wins soon.
