Ducks' John Gibson: Will start Friday

Gibson will start between the pipes against Columbus on Friday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Gibson allowed two or fewer goals in each of his last five starts, so he has clearly been the hot hand in Anaheim. After Friday, he will have started seven straight games, so once Jonathan Bernier (upper body) is healthy, Gibson will probably get a rest.
