Bruins' Austin Czarnik: Makes strong return to NHL

Czarnik scored a goal on two shots and went plus-1 with two PIM in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Rangers.

Analysis:

Demoted after a slow start that probably had a lot to do with his late-preseason concussion, Czarnik tallied three points in two AHL games and got called right back up to give the Bruins an offensive boost. He did just that in his first game back, with his goal creating a 2-0 first-period lead, but things fell apart after that with fourth-string netminder Zane McIntyre trying (and failing) to stop pucks. Czarnik's ice time moving forward remains something of an open question, but he lined up on the second unit with David Krejci and Ryan Spooner on Wednesday, and that assignment offers a lot of fantasy potential if he can hold onto it.
