Bruins' Zane McIntyre: Defending cage Wednesday

McIntyre will make his first career NHL start against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Analysis:

McIntyre came on in relief of Malcolm Subban on Tuesday, allowing two goals on 17 shots. It certainly was a rough night for Boston goaltenders, as the team took a 5-0 loss against Minnesota. McIntyre will get the chance to prove to the Bruins' top brass why he was worth a sixth-round selection coming out of the University of North Dakota. The 24-year-old will likely be returned to AHL Providence once Tuukka Rask (undisclosed) is cleared to return, but he might be worth stashing away in dynasty formats.
