Blue Jackets' Brandon Saad: Finally finds first twine of season

Saad netted his first goal of the year Tuesday, opening the scoring in an overtime loss in Los Angeles.

Analysis:

He'd picked up just one assist in the first four games. If you can capitalize on Saad's slow start to pick him up via trade, do it -- we're talking about a supremely talented sniper who's at the center of just about everything the Blue Jackets do on offense. His power-play time has been thin early on, but that has more to do with the team not drawing many penalties (10 man-advantage chances in five games) than any shortcoming of Saad's.
