Hurricanes' Cam Ward: Loses again Tuesday
Ward allowed four goals on just 25 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday.
Analysis:
Forced to open the season on a lengthy six-game road trip thanks to the North Carolina State Fair occurring across the street from their arena, the Hurricanes have struggled mightily out of the gate with a 1-3-2 record. At the forefront of those woes has been Ward, who currently owns a dreadful 4.02 GAA and .848 save percentage after Tuesday's loss. Eddie Lack hasn't been much better, allowing 12 goals over his three starts, so it's anybody's guess who'll get the nod when the 'Canes finally play their home opener Friday against the Rangers.
