Penguins' Tom Kuhnhackl: Grinding it out in second season
Kuhnhackl is pointless through six games while serving as a fourth-line winger.
Analysis:
He scored five goals and 15 points in 48 games as a rookie in 2015-16 but has seen his ice time drop from 12:12 to 8:39. Kuhnhackl was drafted in 2010 for his offensive potential -- he scored 39 goals in 63 games for OHL Windsor in 2010-11 -- but advanced to the NHL on the strength of his forechecking ability. He sees scant power play time and little in the way of offensive opportunities.
