Canucks' Jayson Megna: Called up to majors

Megna was recalled from the minors Monday.

Analysis:

Megna was brought in due to injuries to fellow wingers Alex Burrows (neck) and Derek Dorsett (shoulder). It is unclear whether Megna will slot into the lineup, but with maladies piling up, the 26-year-old will add some much needed depth. Last season, the Florida native saw action in just six contests in which he registered a pair of points and was a minus-1. Since making his NHL debut during the 2013-14 campaign, Megna has logged just 54 games, spending the bulk of his time in the AHL where he is likely to return once Burrows and Dorsett are cleared to return.
