Red Wings' Justin Abdelkader: Set to return Tuesday

Abdelkader (lower body) will play Tuesday against the Hurricanes, per GM Ken Holland, Gregg Krupa of The Detroit News reports.

Analysis:

Abdelkader was a late scratch ahead of Saturday's game against the Sharks, which ended up as a 3-0 win. The 29-year-old is using $4.25 million against the cap this season, and has gotten off to a bumpy start with a minus-2 rating and a goal representing his lone point through five contests. In typical Abdelkader fashion, though, he has seven PIM.
