Islanders' Thomas Greiss: Starting Sunday against Minnesota

Greiss will be between the pipes for Sunday's clash with the Wild, Shannon Hogan of MSG reports.

Analysis:

Starter Jaroslav Halak will get the night off after a 23-save victory Friday. Greiss had a good outing in his last start, allowing only two goals on 28 shots to an excellent Washington offense, but was unable to come away with the win. Halak has improved after a shaky start to the season, but Greiss could keep the pressure on the incumbent starter if he keeps up the strong play and strings together a few wins.
