Flames' Chad Johnson: Will start Saturday

Johnson will be between the pipes in Saturday's home contest with the Blues, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Analysis:

At first glance, it's a little surprising that Brian Elliott -- who was brought to Cow Town last summer to be the unquestioned starter -- won't be manning the crease against his former team. However, he's been nothing short of atrocious in three starts with the Flames, surrendering a whopping 14 (!) goals on just 87 shots. Johnson, meanwhile, beat Buffalo in unimpressive fashion (three goals on 21 shots) last time out, after dropping a tough 30-save, 2-1 shootout decision to the Canucks in his season debut. He'll be in tough against a Blues squad.
