Devils' Miles Wood: Assigned to minors Saturday

Wood was sent to AHL Albany on Saturday.

Analysis:

The Devils have activated Sergey Kalinin from injured reserve, which punched Wood's ticket to the minors. A standout with Boston College, Wood failed to land on the scoresheet in a pair of contests last week. though he did pick up four PIM. He's a top prospect for the Devils and is expected to be a popular call-up option when the injury bug pays another visit to New Jersey.
