Devils' Cory Schneider: Starting Saturday against Minnesota
Schneider will start between the pipes in Saturday's home game against the Wild, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
Analysis:
Schneider has been sharp early on this season, posting a 2.00 GAA and .938 save percentage over his first four starts of the campaign, but has registered a disappointing 1-2-1 record over that span due to his teammates' inability to score with any sort of consistency. The 30-year-old backstop will look to pick up his second win of the season Saturday in a tough home matchup with a hot Wild team that has averaged 3.75 goals per game this season, fourth in the NHL.
