Islanders' Thomas Hickey: Logs 24:22 in win over Coyotes

Hickey received a season-high 24:22 of ice time during Friday's win over the Coyotes.

Analysis:

Through the first four games of the season, Hickey averaged just 16:27 of ice time. In this one, Nick Leddy (upper body) was unable to dress Friday, and Ryan Pulock left the game with a lower-body injury after playing just 3:57; as a result, Hickey received a boost in playing time. He didn't turn the opportunity into much of a fantasy return, though. Hickey notched one shot on net and one blocked shot Friday, and he remains with just a single point for the campaign. He's a serviceable defenseman for the Islanders but an underwhelming fantasy asset.
