Islanders' John Tavares: Slow start to the season

Tavares only has a goal and an assist in the first four games this season.

Analysis:

The Islanders as a team have struggled to score goals in the early going this season. Tavares is playing with a new left wing in Andrew Ladd and right now the chemistry between the two is lacking. This was to be expected however, as the World Cup didn't allow the two to mesh during training camp. Tavares will snap out of it in time.
