Sabres' Casey Nelson: Sent down to AHL Rochester

Nelson was sent to AHL Rochester on Friday, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports.

Analysis:

One of a group of players sent down, Nelson will get a chance to heat up against a lower level of competition. The Sabres don't play again until Tuesday, so Nelson should be back before then, but will play two games with Rochester Saturday and Sunday.
