Devils' Sergey Kalinin: Expected to make season debut Saturday

While Kalinen (illness) remains on injured reserve, it's expected that he will be in the lineup Saturday for a home game against the Wild, The Record reports.

Analysis:

Kalinen should reprise his role as a bottom-six winger upon returning. The Russian will look to assert himself offensively as a young skater -- he's 25 years old -- on a team chock full of veterans. As a rookie last season, he posted only 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 78 games.
