Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Back in net Friday

Analysis:

Jimmy Howard, who's technically the backup goalie in Detroit, looked outstanding in his season debut Wednesday against the Rangers, facing a 33-shot barrage and acting as the team's best penalty killer, shutting down four man-advantage opportunities from New York en route to a 2-1 win. Still, it appears that coach Jeff Blashill is standing by his decision of making Mrazek the primary option between the pipes for the Winged Wheel, despite him getting off to a sluggish start with a 1-2-0 record and 3.03 GAA through three games.
