Canucks' Jacob Markstrom: Shines again for third straight win

Markstrom won his third consecutive game to open the season Thursday, making 26 saves on 27 shots in a 2-1 victory over Buffalo.

Analysis:

After getting bailed out by his offense in his first start, Markstrom's now turned in one-goal gems against the Blues and Sabres. Ryan Miller's still here, though; the veteran notched a shutout in his own first outing, then suffered and recovered from an abdominal injury. Markstrom has a strong opportunity to win starts away from the 36-year-old Miller, but he won't become the No. 1 immediately.
