Canadiens' Zach Redmond: Breaks foot in practice, out six weeks

Redmond suffered a broken foot in practice Thursday and will be out six weeks.

Analysis:

It's a tough break for the 28-year-old, as he'll now be out until December at the earliest and could be sent back to AHL if the Canadiens decide to call up a defensive prospect in his place. Redmond has yet to appear on the ice through the first three games of 2016-17, and it appears he'll be waiting quite a bit longer for his season debut.
