Penguins' Matt Murray: Skates Wednesday

Murray (hand) took part in an optional skate Wednesday, Frank Seravalli of TSN reports.

Analysis:

Murray is expected to take part in practice Thursday, according to Pens Inside Scoop, which bodes well for his immienent return. Not everybody in Pittsburgh will be happy to have the 22-year-old return, as it likely means Mike Condon will end up back on the waiver wire. Although Murray was expected to see significant action -- maybe even the No. 1 role -- this season, he may be facing an uphill battle to overtake Marc-Andre Fleury, who has performed well in the first four games of the year.
