Analysis:

Smith had to be helped off the rink in Tuesday's game against the Senators, which fueled speculation that he had sustained a serious injury. However, the day-to-day label suggests otherwise, and Smith is sure to be reevaluated ahead of a road clash with the Habs on Thursday. Spare goalie Justin Peters has been summoned to the parent club, presumably to back up second-year tender Louis Domingue if Smith can't give it a go in the next match.
