Coyotes' Shane Doan: Not showing age early

Doan notched an assist in Tuesday's loss to Ottawa -- his second point in as many games to start the year.

Analysis:

A lifelong member of the Coyotes, nee Jets, Doan turned 40 just before the season started, but he's not showing his old age so far. After a 28-goal, 47-point campaign last year, it's clear that fantasy owners can rely on Doan as a depth scorer even though he's no longer the same kind of performer that he was in his youth. His ice time's down by about a minute early on here, which isn't terribly surprising, but shouldn't significantly impact his production.
