Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Could practice Wednesday

Coach Mike Sullivan indicated Tuesday that Crosby (concussion) could return to practice Wednesday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Crosby has been sidelined since early October with the concussion, but recent reports suggested he's been moving in the right direction. This further bolsters that case, and it's possible the Penguins will have their star back on practice ice in the near future. The team should update his status again in the morning, but his next chance to return would come Thursday against the Sharks. Crosby still needs medical clearance before returning to the lineup.
