Predators' Pekka Rinne: Guarding net Friday

Rinne will start in goal for Friday's season opener against the Blackhawks.

Analysis:

Rinne opens the season looking to regain some of his former glory -- his 2.48 GAA and .908 save percentage during the 2015-16 season was a far cry from the excellent numbers he put up the year before. It will be interesting to see how Rinne performs with a revamped defense in front of him, highlighted by the addition of P.K. Subban and the departure of Shea Weber.
