The Vancouver Canucks signed forward Jack Skille to a one-year, $700,000 contract, the team announced on Thursday.

The 29-year-old joined the team in camp after signing a professional-tryout contract. Skille clearly impressed management, despite going pointless with eight shots in four preseason games.

Skille spent last season with the Colorado Avalanche, where he managed eight goals and 14 points in 74 games.
