Sabres' Robin Lehner: Starting season opener
Lehner will be in net for Thursday's season-opening matchup with the Canadiens.
Analysis:
Lehner enters the season as Buffalo's undisputed No. 1, a title he had to reclaim after losing much of last season to injury. This is somewhat uncharted territory for the 25-year-old and the pressure will certainly be on now that superstar Jack Eichel (ankle) has been lost for at least the first month of the season. That said, Lehner had a strong preseason and an impressive stat line in his limited appearances last year, so we'll see if he can continue that success now that the games matter again.
