Hurricanes' Justin Faulk: Day-to-day, could practice Tuesday

Faulk (lower body) is considered day-to-day and head coach Bill Peters indicated Sunday he could practice Tuesday.

Analysis:

Faulk didn't practice Saturday after leaving Friday's preseason contest early due to the lower-body issue and sounds as though he'll be ready for the team's opener. However, more on his status should arise as the season closes in.
