Capitals' Braden Holtby: Falls in shootout but still looks solid

Holtby turned aside 29 of 31 shots during Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Hurricanes in the preseason. The netminder saved one of four shots during the shootout.

Analysis:

This one is safe to write off, as Holtby remains an elite netminder that should be flying off draft boards across all formats. The Vezina Trophy winner in 2015-16, Holtbeast had a sensational season, winning 48 games while sporting a .922 save percentage and 2.20 GAA. There's nothing to suggest the 27-year-old can't challenge those numbers again this season.
