Maple Leafs' Jhonas Enroth: Making start in net Friday

Enroth will start in net for Friday's preseason matchup against Detroit, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.

Analysis:

Enroth, the Maple Leafs' backup to Frederik Andersen, recorded his best statistical season during the 2015-16 campaign, posting a 7-5-1 record, 2.17 GAA, and .922 save percentage with the Kings. However, he's never assumed full-time goalie duties during his seven-year NHL career, as he's failed to start more than 40 games in any season. Assuming Andersen stays healthy, Enroth is unlikely to see more than 20 starts this season.
