Canucks' Jayson Megna: Placed on waivers

Megna was waived by the Canucks on Thursday for the purpose of reassignment to the minors, Irfaan Gaffar of Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Megna saw action in just six contests last season with the Rangers, instead spending the majority of the year with AHL Hartford, where he tabulated 15 goals and 29 helpers in 68 outings. If he goes unclaimed off the waiver wire, he'll be reassigned to AHL Utica.
