Devils' Cory Schneider: Named starter Wednesday

Schneider will start between the pipes for Wednesday's game against the Islanders, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

There's no question who the workhorse netminder will be for the Devils this season, and Schneider will use Wednesday's contest as a tune-up before the games start to count. He's appeared in one preseason game so far, stopping 26 of the 30 shots sent his way.
