Winnipeg Jets forward Bryan Little is out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury, according to head coach Paul Maurice.

Little left Thursday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes following a collision with Bryan Bickell midway through the first period.

The news is extra disheartening for Little, who entered the season after being shut down last February after suffering a fractured vertebrae from a hit by Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman.

According to Maurice, the team should have a better idea about the severity of the injury in a couple weeks.

Little managed 17 goals and 42 points in 57 games last season.
