Predators' Harry Zolnierczyk: Placed on waivers

Zolnierczyk was waived by Nashville on Friday along with Adam Payerl, Petter Granberg, and Matt Irwin, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Analysis:

Zolnierczyk was called up for one game by the Ducks last year before signing with the Predators in the offseason. In total, the 29-year-old has appeared in 60 NHL contests, tallying a combined five goals, four assists, and 83 PIM in those outings. Unless claimed off the waiver wire, Zolnierczyk, Payerl, Granberg, and Irwin will be assigned to AHL Milwaukee where they are likely to spend the bulk of the 2016-17 campaign.
