Rangers' Brandon Pirri: Scores two more in Thursday's preseason win

Pirri lit the lamp twice, and added an assist in Thursday's 3-1 win preseason win over the Devils.

Analysis:

Pirri has made a strong impression after inking a one-year deal with New York in the offseason, potting three goals in his first two preseason appearances. He's still not much of a threat to move into a top-six center role over Derek Stepan or Mika Zibanejad, but could bring some scoring punch to the third line after totaling 29 points in 61 games last season. Power-play time isn't out of the question either, especially given this hot start to his Rangers tenure.
