Jets' Mathieu Perreault: Will suit up for Thursday's preseason contest

Perreault (concussion) is listed on the game-day roster for Thursday's preseason matchup with Minnesota.

Analysis:

Perreault missed the final 10 games of the 2015-16 season with a concussion, but is ostensibly no longer feeling the effects of that injury, and will now have plenty of time to work himself back into game shape ahead of the Jets' Oct. 13 regular-season opener against Carolina. The 28-year-old center signed a four-year, $16.5 million contract extension with Winnipeg this offseason, and will hope to award the Jets for their loyalty by improving upon his 41-point total (nine goals, 32 assists) from a season ago in 2016-17.
