Wild's Marco Scandella: Will play in Thursday's preseason game

Scandella (abdomen) will be in the lineup for Thursday's preseason contest against the Jets.

Analysis:

Scandella was dealing with an abdominal injury at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, but is evidently no longer bothered by that ailment as evidenced by his inclusion on Thursday's game-day roster. The 26-year-old defender, who notched 21 points (five goals 16 assists) over 73 games last season, will likely slot into a bottom-pairing role with the Wild in 2016-17.
