Predators' P.K. Subban: Resumes skating

Subban (neck) skated prior to practice Wednesday, but remains out for preseason action.

Analysis:

Fans and fantasy owners alike will want to see Subban back on the ice as soon as possible, but indications are that he will be ready to go for the start of the season. Having come over from Montreal via trade during the summer, the defenseman will slot into the top defensive pairing alongside Roman Josi. Assuming the two can gel quickly, owners can expect Subban to finish in the vicinity of 60 points.
